You might have heard this definition before. It's the definition you'd learn if you become a CrossFit trainer. It's a five-second definition that says it all but there's so much more.
To add some detail, CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that mixes weightlifting, calisthenics, powerlifting, gymnastics, endurance movements (and more) in a variety of ways to develop a broad range of fitness and keep your workouts interesting. It is for everyone and the workouts can be scaled to meet the needs of any individual regardless of background.
It's also a community! Walk into any CrossFit affiliate like ours and you will meet a bunch of like-minded people having a sweat, letting off some steam, bonding over a challenge, and getting healthier in the process. CrossFit gyms are notoriously inclusive and social. There are also over 15K CrossFit gyms worldwide. Meaning you'll likely have a gym to call home no matter where you live. Each one is a little different and has its own culture.
Mix these ingredients together with sound nutrition, and you have a lifestyle that can transform your physical and mental health. It will meet you right where you're at and take you to places you didn't think you could go. In the words of one of our members, "This sh*t will change your life."
